Part 1: Formula Wizard Start window (ALT-M)

  • Formula Wizard windows: Start, Data Type, New Formula ('expression').
  • Orientation to the Formula Wizard Start window.
Tables and Formulas (and Fields) panes. Fields shown in grey cannot be changed. Fields shown in black were created by the formula wizard. These formula field fields can be deleted, modified/changed and new fields added.
  • Delete, Add, and Modify buttons.
  • Add a formula with the Formula Wizard - Data Type. Data Type, Size, and Decimal.

Part 2: New Formula ('expression') on 1 Field

  • Orientation. Setting data type. Upper panel with fields and values that can be used in expressions and lower panel for function expression.
  • Fields and values used in formula expressions; 'home' table, optional Parent and Child tables, Constants and System Info.
  • Constants include character, date, numeric fields.
  • System Info contains system date fields .
