No desktop shortcut
You will want to say NO to shortcut on desktop, and instead make a shortcut to the bbk file shared on the server.
Remote access Over VPN or RDP
Note that you do not want to be saving changes to the bbk file over a VPN – we have seen that be not stable enough, and the whole bbk gets corrupted and has to be restored from backup. You can, though save a copy of the bbk to your laptop desktop and use that.
But if you are on an RDP or a Citrix session, it is OK to save changes to the bbk, since the bbk is actually on the server’s session - it is not traveling across a VPN.
